Vocational Training– Tailoring and Beauty Parlour

Vocational Training

TAILORING

The skill-building tailoring course was initiated in August 2011 and has since been providing valuable training to women. The course spans a duration of six months, during which four batches are conducted at our Jhagadia Center. Upon completion of the course, the women are awarded certifications after successful examination. A significant number of 682 women have been trained through 34 batches over the years.

One remarkable aspect of this program is that all the women who undergo training are provided with sewing machines. This provision enables them to immediately start earning and applying the skills they have acquired during the course. By equipping the trained women with sewing machines, the program empowers them to become self-reliant and contribute to their households and communities.

`This holistic approach not only imparts tailoring skills but also facilitates economic independence for the women, allowing them to establish their own small businesses or find employment opportunities. By offering practical tools and support, the program enables the trained women to translate their newly acquired skills into sustainable livelihoods, benefiting both themselves and their families.

BEAUTY PARLOUR

Beauty Parlour course was initiated in August 2019 and has since been providing valuable training to women. The course spans a duration of 4 months, during the year three batches are conducted. Upon completion of the course, the women are awarded certifications after successful examination. 117 women have been trained through 6 batches over the years. All successful trainees have been provided startup kit so that they can start earning immediately after training.

Our outreach program has been started for tailoring and beauty parlour courses in Amalzar, Jhamboi, Amod and Nana Sanza Villages. About 138 women benefited from this program. We plan to start such training programmes in more villages.
