This empowerment program involved women with limited experience in stitching and provided them with training to enhance their skills, specifically in using high-speed machines and producing male uniforms. As a result of their training, these women were able to work on modern machines for stitching, buttoning, and producing various types of uniforms, such as those for industrial workers, boiler suits, and school uniforms. The program’s impact is evident in the financial results achieved. In the fiscal year 2018-19, a total of 68 women produced goods valued at Rs. 92.03 lacs and earned Rs. 23 lacs. Since the year 2019, the program expanded, and the number of women involved increased to 222. These women collectively produced goods worth Rs. 696 lacs, generating an impressive income of Rs. 175.35 lacs. These statistics highlight the success and positive impact of the program in not only empowering women by providing them with valuable skills but also enabling them to contribute to the economy and improve their financial well-being.
